Type248 Thermocouple for Installation in Existing Thermowells
The Type248 thermocouple is designed for installation in existing thermowells and is particularly suitable for medium to high pressure applications. The integral Form B connection head and replaceable insert allow easy maintenance and calibration when a suitable thermowell is already installed. However, when installed directly (without an existing thermowell), there is no seal between the process connection and the interior of the connection head. This model is available in a standard version at a fixed price.

Note for special applications:
In special cases, the measuring insert can be soldered or welded into the neck tube at the factory. This provides a seal between the process connection and the interior of the connection head. Please note, however, that the measuring insert in this variant cannot be replaced.

Suitable Head Transmitters for Type248
We offer head-mounted transmitters that are compatible with the Type B connection head of the Type248 temperature probe. If you order the temperature probe with a transmitter, we will install the transmitter in the connection head free of charge upon request. In this case, the terminal block will be omitted and replaced by the transmitter.
